"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." -Nelson Mandela

Hello

My name is Audrey Parcell, and I am a junior high math teacher in East Texas. I am originally from Arizona, but in 2015 I moved to East Texas to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on mathematics from UT Tyler. Through the U-Teach program, I was able to focus on mathematics and experience blended and project-based learning firsthand. I saw the great benefits of different teaching styles that have modeled my passion for education.

Desmos Display of resources self-created to guide students' use of a powerful digital tool in my 23-24 classroom.

I am passionate about merging education with technology. My classroom is a hub of interactive learning, where Desmos and other digital tools bring math to life. I believe in empowering students with digital skills and fostering curiosity. Together we are not just mastering math; we're shaping a limitless future of learning.

Through the ADL program at Lamar University, I hope to expand upon my knowledge of digital learning, while focusing on blended learning.
